California Recovery Center has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Health Care and Human Services Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
California Recovery Center underwent a rigorous virtual site review. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with Behavioral Health Care and Human Services standards spanning several areas including emergency management, environment of care, human resources, infection prevention and control, leadership, medication management, and rights and responsibilities of the individual.
The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
“As a private accreditor, The Joint Commission surveys health care organizations to protect the public by identifying deficiencies in care and working with those organizations to correct them as quickly and sustainably as possible,” says Mark Pelletier, RN, MS, chief operating officer, Accreditation and Certification Operations, and chief nursing executive, The Joint Commission. “We commend California Recovery Center for its continuous quality improvement efforts in patient safety and quality of care.”
“I am so grateful to be able to offer a vital service in Roseville, the same community that I grew up in and I am now raising my family in.” explains Will Mentesh, Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “Sometimes good people go through a difficult time without the support system and tools they need to see them through. California Recovery Center is here to be that support and ensure that everyone who walks through our door leaves with the tools, knowledge, confidence, and personal understanding to rejoin or grow within their community as a positive contributor and a successful individual. One way we accomplish this is through our alumni program, which supports CRC clients after they’ve graduated from our program. We provide vital evidenced-based addiction and mental health treatment services so that our past, future, and present clients can experience life as they should.”
California Recovery Center’s pursuit for accreditation began shortly after its inception. The founding members have always been of firm belief that aspiring for The Gold Seal will point the organization to the right path in maintaining quality standards. After countless trials and errors, staff overhauls from the bottom up, and continual revisions to policies and procedures to accommodate novel requirements amid a global pandemic, the organization is ready to take the next big step of upholding The Joint Commission standards to provide the highest quality of care to individuals in treatment.
