Job Description:
The Associate Clinical Therapist assists in the treatment of clients with substance use and mental health disorders. They plan, manage, and provide services to clients. Further, they utilize case history to develop and provide individual, group and family therapy. The Associate Clinical Therapist will also participate in providing staff training, collaborative staff consultation, and case management services. They will perform these duties while adhering to the organization’s values and principles.
Education and Training Requirements:
- Must be registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate in one of the following categories: Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW).
- Master’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Current TB test & Physical Screening results
- Must pass a comprehensive background check.
- Valid driver’s license and SSN
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in assessing and preparing treatment plans
- Complete and submit all clinical documentation in a timely, billable, and accurate manner
- Assist in treatment planning on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor and chart client progress and implement modifications to the client’s program as needed
- Facilitate and coordinate multi-disciplinary treatment planning and updates for clients (ensure inclusion of all treatment modalities/disciplines.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Participate in group treatment activities per program schedule
- Facilitate and assist couples/family sessions as specified in individual clients’ treatment plans
- Interfaces with referral and payor sources, for treatment planning and compliance review
- Facilitate community referrals for clients
- Communicate with staff via client’s record and HIPAA compliant platforms to maximize effective utilization of milieu in supporting the client’s treatment plan
- Attend and complete mandatory in-service trainings, individual/group supervision meetings, and staff meetings
- Must attend clinical supervision sessions regularly.
- Performs additional needed duties.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
